Few dragons embody serenity and potential quite as perfectly as Avatars of Creation. They dedicate their abilities to the arts of healing and growing, and their shimmering scales seem to glow in accordance with their mood. The tendrils of an Avatar of Creation grow slowly throughout its life, and the longer the tendrils grow, the more potent its abilities become.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Raised by a Guardian of Nature who has ambitiously taken on all of Valkemare as her charge, this dragon was taught from a young age to protect and foster the good around him. Ultimately he was left in charge of a small part of the vast world, as his mother could not hope to oversee it all, becoming the Protector of Galsriem.

But watching over an entire continent is no easy task. He often feels more than inadequate, and spent most of his early years as Protector hiding from the vast amount of responsibility. Though he has come to understand that this responsibility is mostly arbitrary, and Galsriem can handle itself on its own. He intervenes from time to time, lending a paw when needed, but he mostly keeps to himself -- a nameless vigilante on a nameless quest -- as outside help is rarely required, or asked for. That, and a ridiculous Whiptail and his equally ridiculous companions always manage to get in his way.
