Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Origami Feathers is an interesting character. He isn't the brightest; however, he insists on being the first at everything. This does lead to trouble, as he doesn't always have the answers to everything. He tends to talk (more like scream) to himself, and even though everyone believes he is just insane, there is actually a tiny cricket living in the folds of his paper scales (the same cricket who is popular among befriending wooden puppets and taking ducks to see their Christmas Past). No matter what he hears from his two best friends, Tris and Tobias, about what the other dragons say (behind his back), he doesn't let him stop him from following his dream of being the King's Chocolate Maid.
