Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

'Cember desperately worries all the other dragons in The Lady's drove. They were all looking forward to having a new hatchling around, but once 'Cember hatched, he soon became too much for them. He NEVER stopped talking, all day long, about NOTHING at all. He also had a rather loud voice. At first it was cute. But after a day of him only closing his mouth to eat, the cave was in an uproar. This habit only got worse after he grew wings. But at midnight on December 31st, he stopped. He has not said a single word since then. It is believed that 'Cember is the embodiment of the utter, crushing stillness and quiet that comes in the cold December nights, and keeps that in him all year round, showing all others that there is more to winter than snow and presents. But once December rolls around and one needs only to step outside the cave to feel it, he will gain his voice back. No one else in The Lady's drove is looking forward to next December.
