Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Atash is the oldest dragon on JainaKay's scroll, at least in maturity. He often comes across as gruff and irascible, but under that facade he is fiercely loyal, devoted, and even affectionate. It is said that he holds the wisdom of the ages in his heart, and from a young age it has been clear that his mind is sharp and his perception incisive. Though he knows better than to offer unsolicited advice, wise dragons and humans learn to seek him out for conversation—often they will learn things they did not realize they needed to know.
Atash is a strong advocate of doing, not just thinking, and looks down on anyone who does not put their thoughts into action. As such, he and Yileen do not get along very well, for Yileen prefers to dream and spend his time pondering the deepest mysteries, whereas Atash will reflect only as long as is necessary, and then act. Those who seek his advice quickly learn that the surest way to kindle his wrath is to do nothing.
