When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Levia Aquamarine is a curious ocean-dwelling dragon that never ceases to amaze himself with the wonders of the deep. He will usually spend his days diving into the deepest depths of the ocean, uncovering unique creatures and ancient shipwrecks.

Once as he was exploring the remains of a large ship, he discovered a closed but unlocked metal chest. Nosing it open, he found it to be filled with many pieces of his namesake (which incidentally is the gemstone aquamarine). Levia instantly fell in love with the smooth and glittering gemstone. Ever since that day, every time he finds a piece of aquamarine, he will take it back to the underwater cave he lives in and place it among his vast collection of the said gem. It is no wonder that the water in his cave is always a beautiful shade of shimmering blue.
