Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

As a Christmas dragon, Saint Sigmund is certainly very different from other dragon breeds. He is destined to spend his life dedicating himself to others, by secretly performing little tasks to help out those who deserve it and by doing whatever he can to generally spread happiness and good spirits (especially during the holiday season). Every year at Christmastime Saint Sigmund visits a black dragon named Frelia, whom he has loved for most of his life. She loves Sigmund, but cant handle the idea of seeing him only at Christmastime; so she spends most of her year with her regular mate, Barcan, but leaves him every Christmas to be with Sigmund for a few hours. Despite the personal heartache it causes him, Saint Sigmund understands his duty as a Christmas dragon and goes about it with good humor. Unlike most other Christmas dragons, Saint Sigmund is accompanied by an assistant—a skywing dragon named Lilee who decided to leave the normal world and join Saint Sigmund in what he does.
