Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ever-Changing Challenge is a female Vampire dragon. Her name was earned because of her belief that life is little more than an ever-changing challenge, only created to cause all dragons woe. Challenge is a pessimist if there ever was one, determined to always see the glass as half empty. In her opinion, a good day is set to get worse and any good that anybody does is strictly for their own benefit.

  A cave in "The Dragon's Teeth" mountain range is where Ever-Changing Challenge lives. This cave is small, dark and dreary, with no objects of any kind inside whatsoever. When Challenge isn't working for Terror's gang, she can usually be seen sitting in the moonlight, ranting to herself about the unfairness and misery of life.

  Ever-Changing Challenge don't have many friends, but seems to be fairly content simply moaning and mumbling about the darker side of life.
