Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kanaie (kuh-nye-yeh) was named by her father, her name He Pua Kanaie translates to Our Conceited Flower, an absolute name for their blessed Lumina hatchling. Kanaie knew she was the most extraordinarily beautiful dragoness in the cave, and while many push her to mate with the famous Golden Wyvern named Bilcus, Lumina harbors her interests deep within for the Turpentine named Bozko. Kanaie absolutely adores Bozko as he is oblivious to the statuses and ranks of dragons; he treats all dragons with the same friendly kindness and humor. As much as she enjoys being complimented on how beautiful she is, she sometimes preferred not to talk about how beautiful she is and what beautiful male she should mate with- it's just repetitive now. Bozko has much to talk about other than that. Kanaie just finds Bozko's stories and adventures much more interesting than how beautiful she is. She thinks it's cute when Bozko thinks he's a dork for only talking about his adventure.
