Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very aggressive, and has brilliant turquoise markings all over its body.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Zathurah is a strong hatchling. He is covered in great turquoise patterns. His wings are hard and can work as a shield, and his tail works as a spear. He is very gentle to his master but is very aggressive to intruders and will protect the other dragons at all costs. When he first hatched, he was adopted by the co- cave leader, Sapphire Cascade.
