Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Neptunian Monstrosity lives miles and miles away from the rest of the cave in the ocean. She was originally born into a large lake, but swam down a river to the ocean when the urge hit her. Perfectly content, she spends her days on the ocean floor feeding and sleeping. She prefers the dark depths and solitude that the ocean bottom provides. If she happens to meet another Deep sea dragon, she will prefer to swim away silently then talking to them. One of the few times she immerges from the inky blackness is in mating season. During this time she will swim back up the river to her old home in the lake. If she happens to have any eggs she will leave them with the cave before returning to the dark depths of the sea. Occasionally she will also arise from the depths to watch human merchant ships and sometimes steal their supplies. Rumors of sea monsters are prevalent along the territory of ocean she inhabits.
