Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

BloodMoon Rose is a graceful beauty, whose scales shine with the glittering white of a tropical sea bleached by the light of the moon. A loner with no mate and only a few friends, BloodMoon Rose spends a lot of time in isolation, and can be found most nights proudly perched on a rocky protrusion above a secluded lake, although sometimes as she gazes into her coldly beautiful reflection she feels a sting of loneliness. Her thoughts are poetic and lyrical by nature, yet often tainted with the overshadowing sorrow that most dragons will not accept her. Morganna Rose and Ceranous, who helped their carer rosewicket to raise her from an egg, are like parents to her. In honour of the love and guidence they gave her BloodMoon Rose has taken a young purple dragon Amynta Rose under her wing. Despite her strange smell and the bad reputation of her kind BloodMoon Rose has formed a strong bond with Amynta Rose, who now views her as a mother and is always by her side.
