Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. GlenGlider is the Summer son of Duskglider the Black and Glacioulnesse the Winter. He is a bright, happy dragon who enjoys the summer sun and is at his best when the sun is high in the sky. He spends a lot of time flying over the land, the sunbeams glittering off his wings and dazzling anyone who happens to look up. He is very active and energetic, and expects everyone to be the same. His enthusiasm at whatever he takes up is unflagging, and he can always be counted on to finish what he has started. When he made up his mind to bring his sister Nyxiounesse and her estranged mate NightSkimmer together, he was so persuasive that the duo decided to try again and are now settled together. When he made up his mind to make the entire garden bloom with the help of his gleaming wings, he focused his sunbeams on the plants for three days and managed to make every plant blossom. So far, he has never failed at what he aimed to do.
