An almost strictly nocturnal breed, Ciriax Lindwyrms are especially attuned to the moons’ cycles. They spend nights patrolling the edges of their territory, aggressively fending off intruders while they feast on their prey. After two or three nights of feeding, often around the time of at least one full moon, Ciriax Lindwyrms retreat to the recesses of their cave or underground homes. These dragons make it particularly difficult to travel on nights that are well-lit by moonlight, often to an unsuspecting adventurer’s dismay.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

Lune and Morgana are dragon sorceresses, the fabled witches of legend. Morgana, derived from Fata Morgana, meaning a complex illusion, controls the wind and wisps of nighttime magic. Combined with Lune's power over moonlight and shadows, the two hide away in a cave, making mischief for any unlucky wanderer that comes close to their territory. It is said their home is always shrouded in fog, cloaked in eternal night. Not many dare to seek refuge between the trees of their land, and not a soul can be found living in places they deem theirs. Though there has not actually been reports of them actively attacking travellers, rumours spread like wildfire throughout the dragon world.

When mating season arrives, the two heads always stumble out of their cave. Grown fat on a winter diet of small prey and confused birds, this dragon rather likes to hop around, looking for anyone worthy. Unfortunately, many stay away for fear of what the stories foretold.
