Tetra Dragons are often found in large groups. They are very social both with their own species and with others. Tetra Dragons are very active and change locations quite frequently. Males defend small parts of territory within the groups but major conflicts rarely occur. Tetra Dragons prefer territory with lots of natural hiding places and can be skittish.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mereshi has a lot of odd little rituals he does whenever he goes hunting for fish, such as apologizing profusely to anchovies if he's caught them in the morning, or making sure to avoid eye contact with tunas. Even though he doesn't really know how he develops these quirks, Mereshi firmly believes that if he doesn't continue the superstitions, all the fish will avoid him and he will fail in his hunting. Since none of these mannerisms are inherently harmful, the rest of the family just sort of shrugs and allows Mereshi to carry on. He's a good enough hunter that some of the hatchlings have started imitating him, hoping to improve their own fishing prowess.
