Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Salamand'r was once known as The Flame of the Dread Mountains, and merely speaking his name was often enough to inspire fear in the hearts of those who lived in the surrounding countryside. While he never was and still is not a creature of pure anarchy and destruction, the towering creature who was practically a living embodiment of fire and heat, was awe-inspiring once angered. Said to raze entire fields with fire and consume them until only ash was left behind, it was these stories that gave rise to his reputation. Of the four eldest dragons of these war-torn lands, Salamand'r was actually the most patient and level-headed, wise as any of his 'siblings'. With his growing age, he ventured out into the surrounding lands less and less, instead staying within the confines of the dormant volcano he had always called home. Deep, in the belly of the caverns, The Flame often slumbered, the very sounds he made likened to those of an earthquake rumbling just below the surface of the earth.
