White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Innocent Spirit was brought to the colony at the request of a matchmaker, who had chosen him as the perfect mate for Drianine, one of the colony's few Ribbon Dancers. Both dragons tried to make the best of the situation, but to no avail: Spirit and Drianine are totally incompatible as partners, through no fault of their own. They spend one week together out of the year in order to produce children, and both are devoted parents, but after that week is over nothing can convince them to stay together. Spirit has found fulfilling, loving relationships elsewhere in his life that make up for the unusual arrangement he has with his mate, but someday he would like to find a mate he can stay with for the rest of the year. But he certainly won't be asking for that matchmaker's advice again.
