Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gauds used to be a leader of the Dark Legions, dragons that lived in the night and made the most out of it. None could defeat them as Gauds ruled the legions from his legendary throne, The Post of Seven Stars, from the capital—Nightspire. His armies were horrifying, and any nation that witnessed the Dark Legions ran away in fear of King Gauds' sly planning. But it wasn't enough for him. Soon he allied with two other great leaders and declared war on everyone they met with a sole goal—to conquer all of the planet. However, champions of Differom were quick to end his reign, who destroyed him straight from Nightspire and trapped him as a frozen figure in the backrest of The Post of Seven Stars.
