Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Troy is a small black dragon, but he's a fierce fighter, nonetheless. Because of this propensity for fighting, along with his diminutive stature, he actually gets along with Tamara, the frozen female vine dragon, quite well, and the two can often be found sparring and practicing their fighting skills on one another.<br/>Alone, he's a dangerous foe, with Tamara, they're practically invincible, and they know it, often ganging up on some of the bigger dragons, if those dragons have offended them.<br/>Aside from when he's with Tamara, Troy actually gets along quite well with the other dragons, and it is only because of Tamara and her persuasiveness that he fights so often with them. However, unlike Tamara, Troy knows when enough is enough, and he knows better than to challenge the nastier dragons to a fight, something he hopes will one day rub off on his dear friend.
