Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Hecturn was mistaken for a male and now has a male name. She doesn't mind it though. She is pretty nice but she likes to play pranks on hatchlings. In fact, her nickname is The Prankster. There's only one hatchling that Hecturn has never played a prank on. Its name is Viltal. Hecturn thinks Vital is too cute to play a prank on. They play a lot together. Hecturn keeps on trying to make Viltal a prankster to but it isn't interested in pranks.
