Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

At night, this Moonstone dragon is often found searching for a 'why fhy signal' (Whatever that is, no one else in his cave has ever gotten an answer from him when they ask.) using a strange paw-held device of his own invention and muttering about "Having no bars". He claims that this device connects him to things called "Headtome" and "Flitter", and again, no one else is quite sure what those are. He has a strange speech impediment where he prefaces the beginning of a sentence with the word 'hashtag' such as "Hashtag I'm going out flying. Hashtag It's gonna be fun." This idiosyncrasy is very irritating to some and as a result Moonlightwind doesn't have a lot of friends, but he does have a caring and loving Shallow Water mate who shares his obsession.
