Starsinger Dragons are warm-hearted creatures who make their appearance at the start of winter. During the day, these dragons bask in the sun to absorb light into the crystals at their chest and between their horns. They will then perch high on tree tops or ledges at nightfall, where the shine of their crystals serve as a beacon for any weary travelers who have lost their way. However, these dragons are most well-known for the melodic songs they sing through the night, which can echo out for miles around in harmony with other Starsingers. These songs are often immortalized as festive carols and never fail to instill a sense of cheer and camaraderie during the holiday season.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Hiyashiko always had a bit of a prankster streak in her character, somewhat bolstered by the fact that she was always perfectly capable of acting solemn and serious as the situation demanded. Incidentally, her singing voice lent itself well to longer, more sustained notes, and she was frequently asked to sing choral hymns and other slow winter lullabies. This meant that she was frequently somewhat bored and sleepy herself while singing. Hiyashiko dealt with this in a way that she thought worked out for everyone, including herself: she would occasionally insert silly or completely random words into the lyrics just to keep things interesting. This sometimes gets out of hand, as many of the hatchlings in the family prefer to sing her parody versions of the slow holiday songs at top volume screeching.
