Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Though her scales shine as brightly as those of any other tinsel, there's something tarnished about Argenta Thuwed's beauty.  Though she's pleasant and kind, other dragons find themselves uneasy around her without quite knowing why.  Some say her smile is false, some say her laughter is forced, and some say there's just too much of a gleam to her scales.  Thus, even though Argenta is just about the kindest dragon one could hope to meet, she has few friends and is often alone.
