As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Darkmoon is a part of the LeValle clan of Dragons which originally consisted of a small family of three.

Darkmoon,like Greenie, ran away from home. However, his reason was because his parents neglected him. He journeyed for years and, finally, he was an adult with no home.

While he was stargazing at night, he ran into another Nightglory. They conversed for what seemed like forever, and this other Nightglory—named Kurai—offered to join his clan. He agreed, and soon they had a child named Hotaru.

Darkmoon currently resides on a lush hill with the rest of the clan.
