Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. It is said that the number of "i"'s in this dragon's name is equivalent to the number of patients who have died in her care. While this sounds alarming at first, Dr. Rowinskiiii is quick to assure injured dragons that those four deaths should really be kept in the context of the thousands of patients she has successfully healed over her long and esteemed career. However, observant dragons will then note that there are really five of the letter "i" in her name. Such dragons are rarely ever seen again, and strangely, Dr. Rowinskiiii's name never grows longer after these mysterious disappearances.
