Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Marvalel is her clan leader's right hand man.  She always helps her leader make important decisions and decide whether or not to accept another dragon into the clan.  Aside from her life as deputy of the clan, she also has a mate who is a flamingo wyvern that resides in the clan.  They have not yet produced an egg together but Marvalel hopes to have one soon even though she already had several with other dragons.  Marvalel also baby-sits all the eggs and hatchlings in the clan. She shelters the eggs under her wings and allows the hatchlings to play all over her body.  One day, when her leader passes on, she will have to give up this duty to take over as leader of the clan.
