Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bred over generations of dragons for her BSA, Erics was given as a welcoming gift to Biscuit, the false name of a dragon tamer living in a cave at the edge of the forest. As the the first Mothers of the Cave, Erics leads female dragons as they care for the eggs Biscuit brings back to the cave. With her aggression and territorial nature, she is often the one to stay in the nest to guard the eggs and young hatchlings. Mature hatchlings are left to be cared for by either Biscuit or Finlay. Erics is also flamboyant and proud of her long heritage, as well as the title of Biscuit's first matured adult. Yet, Erics feels shadowed by the love and adoration Biscuit gives Finlay, her first egg and her first hatchling.
