Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Bauble takes the idea of being a 'holiday spirit' seriously. When midwinter comes, the Snow gets busy. Every dragon that will allow it gets their cave or other living area suitably decorated. No one knows where Bauble gets all the holly, mistletoe, and ivy; the endless lengths of colorful ribbon; or the shining gold and silver tinsel, made of threads of metal spun impossibly thin by magic. He must spend the rest of his time cleaning up from last year and preparing for the next. Bauble even makes tiny globes of colored Light mana and arranges them on long strings that can be hung from stalactites or draped over the limbs of the conifers that line some of the Breedery mountain's lower slopes. Spells cause dragons who are feeling the mood to hear distant, heavenly music. The more dour dragons who dislike the holidays also hate Bauble, but he is overwhelmingly popular with the Breedery as a whole, even among the wild dragons living in the surrounding lands claimed as Breedery territory.
