Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Clan Salamander is a group of dragons that mysteriously never fully develop. These baby dragons haven't matured at all since their departure from their egg, and are being protected and taken care of by a Silver female, Cas Salamander. Each hatchling has its own three letter first name and Salamander as its last. The size of these dragons varies from the size of a large dog to a small lizard such as a salamander, per their namesake.

Cas is the adoptive mother of the hatchlings of Clan Salamander. She is extremely kind and motherly, and cares for each of her children equally. She is very gentle with them due to their tiny physique, but does her best to be strict about certain mannerisms.
