An almost strictly nocturnal breed, Ciriax Lindwyrms are especially attuned to the moons’ cycles. They spend nights patrolling the edges of their territory, aggressively fending off intruders while they feast on their prey. After two or three nights of feeding, often around the time of at least one full moon, Ciriax Lindwyrms retreat to the recesses of their cave or underground homes. These dragons make it particularly difficult to travel on nights that are well-lit by moonlight, often to an unsuspecting adventurer’s dismay.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

Calmopal and Softtongue came to the continent only just after the Great War had finished, leaving the land littered with the bodies of those who had dared to stand against Flameflow, the mighty and merciless Magma. Fearing for their life if they did not submit to the rule of this vicious dragon, as well as wanting to remain in the land with the best resources, Calmopal and Softtongue decided to stay in the new Weyr of Flame and just keep their heads down. Their mate, Stillwaters and Deepmoon, also worries about the wrath of Flameflow, and the both of them just try to keep out of the way, occupying themselves with "cleaning up" the Weyrlands, which involves the disturbing task of disposing of...those who were less skilled at avoiding conflict than the Blue Ciriax Lindwyrms.

Keeping their heads down seems to be what Calmopal and Softtongue are best at; they've made no enemies in the Weyr, which is great, even if they've made no friends, either.
