Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Except for the occasional flicker of movement, it remains inanimate.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Brocken once was a human prince who wanted to be king "right now!" He wanted to have everyone doing what he told them to and no one ordering him around, so he went to a sorcerer to get his wish. The sorcerer Eddie looked sternly into Brocken's eyes and told him firmly: "If you were to become king now, it would mean the death of your beloved father. You are a short-sighted, spoiled brat. Being a king is about responsibility. I think you need to learn some humility."

For a moment everything turned black for Brocken and when he next opened his eyes he was trapped in the body of a dragon hatchling—eternally young. Next to him was a Magi dragon who teleported him to the lands of a dragon clan where he would learn about humility and respect for others.

Brocken doesn't know it, but Eddie hopes that once he has learned his lesson, he will make a far better ruler than his father ever was and further the peace between dragons and men.
