Frostbite Dragons first appear at the beginning of winter, creeping in with the frosts. They have found their place in human lore as the spirits of snow, since they only reveal themselves during icy weather. In the depths of winter, they cover the world in blankets of snow and are believed to be responsible for the glittering frost that creeps over everything. Although they appear cold and distant, they are actually rather mischievous and enjoy spending time dancing through blizzards.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nicolau Vitor is a talented entertainer, well known for his hobby of dancing during dangerous blizzards (like all the frostbite dragons in the clan). Nicolau adores the snowy mountains of his clan, having no desire to visit other regions. Due to his love of making people laugh and his adoration of the mountains he is a tour guide together with his best friend Alecia Teal in his clan. Alecia makes sure that visitors of the mountains are safe and healthy during their travels while Nicolau makes sure that they have a great time. Nicolau is funny, spunky, cultured and smart. He provides assistance, information and cultural, historical and contemporary heritage interpretation to people and dragons on organized tours and individual clients at historical sites, and at venues of other significant interest on the clan's mountains. While Nicolau is strong and knowledgeable, it is obvious that he is too reliant on his region. He could not survive long in a different climate as he can't adapt.
