White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hywyn is the Master Healer of the Clan.  He watches over the eggs and hatchlings, checking them daily to be certain they are growing up strong and healthy.  He frets and fusses over eggs that are hatching too slowly, or too quickly.  The clan members bring him eggs they have found abandoned in the valley, and frequently lead little sick, lost hatchlings to him for his magical medicine.  In his 2000-plus years with the clan he has watched many sick, dying eggs and hatchlings thrive after care under his watchful eye.  As the clan has grown larger over the years, Hywyn has taken on apprentices to assist with healing and care of the young.  Yoko Ono Dorkface was an especially good student, and with Hywyns wonderful training, she now cares for all the Silvers on The Hill and their families.  Hywyn frequently visits with Joshua the Golden, because he fears the lovely gold dragon has a strange sickness which causes him to fall ill often.  Joshua feels embarrassed by Hywyns constant fussing.
