Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Although she is well-known for her ability to whip up powerful thunderstorms and cause massive damage to enemy dragons that attack her Clan, Stormie Cloud is well-beyond the point of being psychotic, and has been declared multiple times by a variety of healers in The New Horizons Clan that she insane. Completely loopy, Stormie Cloud can never maintain a proper conversation with anyone, half of the time rambling on about something totally unrelated to the topic of conversation, and the other half of the time not appearing to understand what exactly the dragon in question is saying.

Additionally, Stormie Cloud often walks around singing goofy songs that appear to make no sense, and appears to strongly believe she is bewitched by something whom she refers to as "The Dark Lord." Although considered a concept of her insanity, it is still unknown whether "The Dark Lord" is just a figment of her imagination or not, and, insane or not, Stormie Cloud is often thought to be rather attractive.
