Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Henderson the Rain King stole his name from an older dragon shortly before banishing him from the skies. He is a proud creature, so it was a surprise to some that he formed an unspoken alliance with A-10 Thunderbolt II's squadron. It probably has something to do with the fact that one of his minions, Forz Hat a Ham Yum, is the mate to one of the female Thunders in Thunderbolt's squadron. As Thunderbolt himself is mate to a squadron leader of ocean dragons, all three groups tend to stay around the ocean. Sailors say that one can tell which of the three is in charge on any particular day by the weather: Sur le Pont d'Avignon blesses the ships with fair seas, Henderson asserts his authority through thunderstorms, and Thunderbolt displays his power by summoning tempests.
