Speckle-Throated Dragons are an active, playful breed. They are easily excited and rarely remain still, spending much of their time in the air. Living in groups of up to sixty dragons, they nest in open plains and at the bases of mountains. Their speckled throats are their most distinctive feature, as well as the loud, echoing call they produce to communicate with one another. Female Speckle-Throats are slightly smaller than males and lack a head crest. However, they are swifter and more agile and prefer to hunt in small groups in order to take down prey.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Born on a rocky cliff beside the sea, Lucky Pennies always loved the salty smell of the ocean waves and the coppery smell of her cliff home. As it turns out, the cliff her family roosted on was laced with copper veins, boosting the health of Lucky Pennies and accelerating her growth. Even from a young age, she loved to collect nuggets and small bits of copper, using her fiery breath to melt them down and her telekinetic abilities to shape them into interesting sculptures. She carried them to small chinks and nooks in the rocks, facing the sea, as silent guardians of her cliff home. Yet, this rich copper was also her demise—as soon as humans found out, they invaded the area, slaughtering the wild dragons and setting up filthy, dirty mining camps to strip away her precious mineral. Unable to fight the hordes of humans (who quickly killed her mother and father), Lucky Pennies fled. Years later, the mines ran dry and were abandoned, but even today, her statues remain, green with age.
