Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Little is known of this dragon, save for the fact that he is the one who produces the haunting, sharp cry which echoes on the winds during the coldest nights. He serves neither as a guardian of man nor as a simple beast, content to feed on what animals roam the desolate peaks. Rather he is assumed to be a man-eater, although none of those he has quietly stalked have ever survived to confirm if it is true. And so it is that the rumors grow and grow, placing him into the status of a phantom, a creature beyond this world that follows those who get lost on the mountains, feeding only when they lie down in the new snow and accept that all life ends.
