Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Despite his hot temperament, Raging Clouds acts as the supreme leader of his Cave of Dragons, a title possibly earned through a display of his dangerous power. He's not concerned and cares little for the petty problems of others, and any disagreements with his lot of Dragons he expects to be sorted out by themselves. Besides from making all the decisions, he doesn't have a lot to do with his subordinates, and prefers his solitary position high up in the mountains where he is hidden by the clouds. The only times he comes down is if he has an announcement to make, or if a dispute has gotten too out-of-hand.

Outwardly, Raging Clouds gives the impression that he's emotionally detached and indifferent to the thoughts and feelings of others. Inwardly, he's very much the same, although his concern for those closer to him is more evident. Only his beloved mate, the Nocturne Dragon Frosting Midnight, has much to do with him.
