Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to sleep during the day and glow when it wakes up at night.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Moonjewel is the highly regarded, rarely seen daughter of Mazz and Apegilly. Almost nothing is known of her, though she is often seen high in the sky on clear nights with her mother and father. The only fact anyone is certain of regarding Moonjewel is the spell the Specialist cast on her to halt her aging, as her growth seemed to have stopped as soon as she developed wings. Most dragons in the woman's habitats have seen this spell and its effects before, as she refuses to have more than two adults of the same breed with very few exceptions.
