Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Golden Scythe is a golden dragon who likes to stare at her reflection in the mirror. She was found by a white dragon, who brought her to her master. Scythe, as soon as she hatched, had lumbered up to the lake and saw her reflection. Being very shiny and golden, most of the dragons came to love her, despite the fact that she was slightly rude and impolite to her elders. Scythe enjoys the company of the silver dragons, usually soaring in the skies, chatting about how things were doing among them. Horrified to learn that she was the only one of her kind in the family, she vowed to soon find another golden egg or hatchling so she wouldn't be so lonely.
