Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

O'byrne is a Storm dragon who prides himself in his sheer destructive force. He regularly trains and hones his powers by unleashing magnificent thunderstorms on uninhabited countrysides. O'byrne believes himself to be an envoy of justice, and constantly seeks out "evildoers" to devour or torment. This rarely ends well, as he seems to have a very broad definition of "evil" and more often than not causes serious damage to everything in pursuit of minor criminals. He doesn't seem bothered by this fact.

O'byrne is also immensely vain, more so than other Storm dragons. He has developed a distinct rumbling sound that he uses to announce his presence whenever he determines a target, and spends a fair amount of his time perfecting it.
