Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Like the egg it hatched from, it is a very shiny gold.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Sunfire Angel Blackheart Dark is a dragon more befitting of the first half of her name than the latter half. Born from the union of two terribly cruel dragons, she was raised to be their successor; yet, somehow, in the midst of their regimen, a sprout of rebellion germinated and grew. Sunfire sought the ways of peace, and shunned the violent methods of her parents. For this, she was cursed with eternal childhood—an action considered a punishment by her power-hungry parents, who wished her to be left as a powerless hatchling. Sunfire instead embraced her state and has since found her place in the world, living among others who think like her and embrace peace, not war, as a way of living.
