Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

One foggy Halloween, a mysterious figure crept into a nest and snatched up a pristine white egg, taking it from its distraught parents forever. The shrouded form sprinted through the woods, carrying the stolen egg in its mouth. Bokora, a zombie hatchling that had recently escaped from its cruel master, was also out walking in the woods when suddenly the robber tripped over him and dropped the egg with a thud. The dark dragon scurried away guiltily and Bokora picked up the strange egg, determined to care for it. The undead hatchling was surprising tender with the chilly egg, as he felt a odd kinship with it. Morroi hatched soon enough and the two spooky dragons became the best of friends. Morroi and Bokora haunt their spooky woods, keeping the fear of the dark in the hearts of travelers passing through. Morroi and Bokora's dream is to befriend a neglected dragon and every night they are on the lookout for one.
