Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Sir Cobweb is a rather strange dragon. Of course, like all nocturnes, he must technically remain completely still during the day, but that doesn't happen to him, for he has sealed his home deep underground. As if this wasn't strange enough, Sir Cobweb is also rather eccentric, dedicating his whole life to studying cobwebs. When asked why, Sir Cobweb says that it was "his destiny" and that he knew that because of a "code" given to him by the great god of dragcave. These obscure hints are rather strange, so most dragons don't push beyond that. In fact, only a select elite few—including one of the leaders of his clan, a fellow nocturne—know of his real reasons for his research: he believes there is some way to make an elixir out of cobwebs that will render nocturne dragons immune to the sun. His great vision is that someday, he and his collaborators will finally be able to take a stroll in the morning light, looking at the dew-covered cobwebs hanging among the trees.
