Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Caprio was discovered deep within the Mountains of Elgar, a colossal region of mountains that borders the shore of the Western Sea. Her egg shell glistening in the morning light, Caprio was recovered by the teenage girl named Flight, who lives away from her kind to raised dragons within the deepest part of the Mountains of Elgar. The youngest of five Christmas dragons discovered by Flight during the holiday season, Caprio often prided herself on being one of the most mature of the littermates. Her attitude often irritates her older "brother" Forster, a Winter Magi who loves to play innocent pranks. Yet despite their arguments, Caprio always regards her "siblings" with affection. Along with her Christmas "brothers" and "sisters", Caprio left the Mountains of Elgar and only returns during Christmas season. Since the finding of the High Family and the Nasuka in Elgar, Caprio tries her best to spread as much of the spirit of Christmas as she can during her visits.
