Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Gentlestone was named long ago, jointly for her sweet, kind nature and for her unwavering, solid will. Though she never raises her voice nor snarls nor threatens, she maintains a firm control over the dragons she and her mate, Smoothstone, rule over as leaders of the Weyr of the Moon. From an early age, Gentlestone and her mate saw visions in their orbs, visions of the future, distant and near. It was her mate who believed that these visions came from the Moon Herself, and when the Great War broke out, the Moon had already warned the Moonstone pair. They fled to the valley below the eastern mountains, and many dragons followed them. Since then, Gentlestone has preached the Moon's words alongside her mate, teaching their followers (and thus the disciples of the Moon) of peace and obedience. Their society is a calm, unchanging one, and that's exactly how Gentlestone likes it.

Though she has her doubts that it is the Moon who speaks to her, she does believe in her mate, and that's enough.
