Frostbite Dragons first appear at the beginning of winter, creeping in with the frosts. They have found their place in human lore as the spirits of snow, since they only reveal themselves during icy weather. In the depths of winter, they cover the world in blankets of snow and are believed to be responsible for the glittering frost that creeps over everything. Although they appear cold and distant, they are actually rather mischievous and enjoy spending time dancing through blizzards.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

As with most Frostbites that live near human settlements, Niachore has risen to a near legendary status. Rumors have sprung from the fact that her mother is a Guardian of Nature, leading some of the townsfolk to regard her as the bringer of winter. She's anything but that, though decided to humor her worshippers by prancing along the farmlands as soon as she senses the first frost coming. They harvest the crops that weren't trampled in her stride, then leave out salted meats in hopes that her winter is merciful. She stores the meats and sacrifices away as it's simple to hunt for boars in the northern forests. In the dreariest times of winter, Niachore makes a small feast of the meat along the edge of town before taking all day to pick her way through it. The humans often come out of their homes to watch her curiously, though bolder children instead opt to climb onto her back for a better view of the snowy terrain.
