Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Tribal Rescue, like others of his breed, exhibits the script-like patterns on his face, flank-scales, and the underside of his leather-like wings. Upon close inspection, his unique pattern is most similar to the tribal paint of native human cultures, hence his namesake. Those that study the human histories though, would be first to point out, that although reminiscent of such markings, script dragon patterns have an almost shifting, multi-dimensional quality to their patterns that is non existent on non-magical species.
