Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a large, shield-like object at the end of its tail that it uses for protection.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Nobody knows Guard's real name, nor where he came from. Rescued long ago by Autumn from the same ditch where Raxus was found, he was also frozen as a hatchling to prevent him from dying. He refuses to talk--except to Raxus, whom he shares a close bond with. The two hatchlings are some of the more mysterious figures in the Separator Territories, though admittedly not as wacky as GLaDOS.

The truth is, Guard used to work for GLaDOS. He would be the one who would prevent the test subjects from escaping, the one who would attack any that dared question him. Then GLaDOS turned on him, driving him from the Aperture Canyons and leaving him to die. Now, ever since Autumn rescued him, he bravely stands against the Republicators instead.

For some odd reason, Guard absolutely loves lemons. Nobody knows why, and none of the dragons in the Separator Territories are brave enough to ask.
