Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Crepusculo Magnifico is a night dragon. He likes to curl up in the back of the cave during the day, listening to Brancaneve singing. He's solitary on the whole, but opera is something he appreciates, and he finds her arias soothing when the other dragons' activity gets on his nerves.

But come the evening, as the sun begins to set, something in him brings him to life, and he glides out of the cave to catch a few rats for dinner. Then he will bask in the setting sun until the last rays vanish over the horizon. As they do so, he feels a deep pang of sorrow, and howls to the rising moon like a wolf in the forest. The anguish of his song gives the other dragons the shivers, and they huddle together in the cave comforting one another, as they fall asleep one by one.
