Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Dove was born with wings, so it can actually fly, but without its second 'rudder' wings, it's difficult to steer in mid-air. Still, the fact that it can fly at all gives this hatchling a good deal more of independence. Unfortunately, this makes Dove a little rowdy and troublesome to handle at times. It wants to fly without escort to dangerous places, and both the other Skywings and its tamer are smarter than that to just let it go unattended.
